Real Estate Company Website: Project Listings, Area Search and Enquiries

The short answer: a good real estate company website answers the question every visitor arrives with: is there a unit here that suits me, and how do I get in touch quickly? That means a clear page for every project, units shown with areas and specifications, search and filters by area and unit type, call, WhatsApp and enquiry buttons on every page, fast-loading photos, and project pages built to be found in search engines.

This guide is for developers, property marketing companies and brokers in Egypt, with examples from sites we have built for Egyptian clients.

How is a real estate website different from a regular company website?

A company website mostly answers “who are we?”. A real estate website answers the buyer’s question: “what do you have, where, how big, and when is handover?”. Visitors do not read about the company first; they look for a unit, then check the company afterwards.

That difference changes how the whole site is built:

  • Content changes constantly — new projects launch, units sell, phases are released. Your team must be able to update the site without waiting for a developer.
  • Visitors compare areas, developers and unit types, so they need search and filters rather than a long list.
  • The decision is big — nobody buys an apartment, villa or office unit after one visit. The site has to capture the interested visitor’s details so sales can follow up.
  • Most visits are on mobile, often from a Facebook or Google ad, so the page must load fast and show a WhatsApp button straight away.

Developer website or property marketing website?

Real estate companies are not all alike, and a developer needs something different from a marketing company or a broker:

Company typeWhat the site showsWhat it needs most
DeveloperIts own projects: a compound, tower, office or resort projectA rich page per project, construction progress, plans and the company’s track record
Property marketing companyProjects from several developers in different areasSearch by area, developer and unit type; fast project updates; an enquiry form per project
Broker or agencyIndividual units for sale or rentEasy unit entry, a status per unit (available or sold) and direct contact
Real estate investment companySelected opportunities and projectsContent that explains each opportunity and area clearly, and pages that build trust

Some companies are both — they develop their own projects and market others’. In that case we separate the two sections so visitors can tell which projects are yours.

How should you present projects and units?

The project page is the heart of a real estate website, and the most common mistake is turning it into a photo gallery with a phone number. A good project page answers the buyer’s questions in the order they think of them:

  1. Project and developer name, with a short note on the developer if you are a marketing company.
  2. Location — city and district, a Google map and the distance to main roads and services.
  3. Unit types — apartments, duplexes, villas, office, retail or hotel units — with available areas.
  4. Plans — the master plan and unit layouts as clear images or PDFs.
  5. Specifications and amenities — finishing, security, green areas, clubhouse, parking — only what really exists.
  6. Handover date and construction status, with recent site photos for projects under construction.
  7. Payment plans in general terms as the developer announces them, updated when they change.
  8. A clear call to action — a WhatsApp button and an enquiry form tied to this specific project.

When a project has dozens of units, do not list them all on one long page. Group them by type, area or phase, add a short availability table, and give each unit model its own page where needed. Above all, keep unit status up to date: nothing damages trust like a buyer asking about a unit that sold months ago.

Search and filters: helping visitors find the right unit

Once you show more than a handful of projects, search and filters become essential. The filters used most in the Egyptian market are:

  • Area — New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, the New Administrative Capital, the North Coast, or the cities and governorates you cover.
  • Unit type — residential, office, retail, holiday.
  • Developer — vital for marketing companies that list several developers.
  • Size and number of bedrooms.
  • Status — under construction or ready to move.

Filters should be quick on mobile and keep their results in a shareable link, because buyers often send results to family on WhatsApp before contacting you. And filter values belong in the admin panel: your staff choose the area and unit type when adding a project, with no code changes.

Contact channels: call, WhatsApp and an enquiry form

The real job of a property marketing website is to turn an interested visitor into a lead the sales team can follow. So every project page carries three channels:

  • A call button that dials straight from a phone.
  • A WhatsApp button with a pre-filled message naming the project, so the salesperson knows where the lead came from.
  • A short enquiry form — name, phone, project or area, unit type and best time to call. Every extra field lowers completion.

Form messages should reach more than one inbox or person, be stored in the admin panel and be tested regularly. If your company uses a CRM, we can connect the form to it on request where the CRM offers an API. If leads are tracked in Excel and it is getting out of hand, read moving from Excel to a management system.

Speed and heavy images

Photos, plans and videos make real estate sites heavy. If a visitor from a paid ad waits for the page, you paid for the click and lost the lead. What we do:

  • Compress images and serve modern formats such as WebP at sizes that fit the visitor’s screen.
  • Lazy-load images below the first screen.
  • Embed videos so they load only when played.
  • Write descriptive alt text that helps both visitors and search engines, as Google’s image SEO guidelines recommend.

SEO for project pages

Many buyers search by project or area name directly — “apartments in Fifth Settlement” or a specific compound. Each project page is a chance to appear for those searches, provided it is a real standalone page and not a pop-up or a single image:

  • A title and description per project naming the project, area and unit types.
  • Original copy describing the project and area, not text copied from competitors or pasted from the developer’s brochure.
  • A clean URL containing the project name.
  • Area pages grouping their projects, once you have enough projects per area.
  • Keep the page after the project sells out, marked as completed, as proof of your experience.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a CRM with my real estate company website?

Not at first. With a modest number of enquiries, the admin panel plus email and WhatsApp notifications is enough. As the sales team and lead sources grow, a CRM becomes necessary; the site can be connected to one on request, or a custom system can be built.

How do I show a project with dozens of units?

Group units by type, size or phase, show a short availability table, give each unit model its own page where needed, and keep status current.

Can I update projects myself?

Yes — that is a core requirement for the real estate sites we build. Your team adds projects, units and photos and sets the area and unit type from the admin panel, without writing code.

How many pages does a property marketing website need?

There is no fixed number. The minimum is home, about, a projects page with search, a page per project and a contact page; it grows with projects, areas and articles. Page count is one of the factors that drive website cost.
