Ways to get paid

How can you receive your customers’ payments?

Your store can combine more than one way. We help you choose what fits your products, your customers and the way you work.

  1. An online payment gateway

The customer pays within the checkout, and the order status updates automatically once the payment succeeds.

    • Cards and wallets, depending on the provider
    • Order status updated automatically
    • Transactions followed in the provider’s merchant dashboard
  2. Manual payment with confirmation

The customer transfers the amount themselves by bank transfer, InstaPay or mobile wallet, then sends proof of payment for you to review before confirming the order.

    • No payment gateway account needed
    • Account or wallet details shown at checkout
    • You confirm the order after checking the receipt
  3. Cash on delivery

The customer pays the courier on receiving the order, and the shipping company collects the amount according to your agreement with it.

    • A familiar option for many customers in Egypt
    • Linked to your shipping company’s settings
    • Can be limited to certain areas or orders

Payment methods

Which payment methods can your customers see?

These are common payment methods among shoppers in Egypt, and your store shows the ones available to you.

  • Bank cards

Paying with debit and credit cards through the payment gateway, right in the checkout.

  • Mobile wallets

Paying from a mobile phone wallet, through the payment gateway or by manual transfer and confirmation.

  • Instalments

Splitting the order value into several payments, when the provider offers it and your account includes it.

  • Paying at outlets with a reference code

The customer gets a reference code for the order and pays with it at a payment outlet, then the order status updates after payment.

  • InstaPay and bank transfer

The customer transfers the amount to your account, and you confirm the order once you have checked the transfer arrived.

  • Cash on delivery

The customer pays the courier on delivery, and the shipping company collects the amount on your behalf.

Each method’s availability depends on the payment provider and its current offer, your type of business and your merchant account. We check which methods are available to you before connecting them to the store.

The payment journey

What happens when a customer pays online?

  1. They choose how to pay

The customer reviews the order and chooses card or wallet at checkout.

  2. They pay on a secure page

Card details are entered on a payment page or form provided by the provider, so they are not stored in your store.

  3. The provider verifies the payment

The provider checks the transaction with the bank or wallet, and the customer may be asked for a verification code.

  4. The order updates in your store

The provider sends the result back to the store, the order status changes and the customer receives an order confirmation.

  5. You receive the funds

You follow the transaction in the provider’s dashboard, and the amount is paid out to your account according to the provider’s schedule and terms.

How we connect

How do we connect a payment gateway to your store?

  1. We choose the provider together

We review your products, your customers and the payment methods you need, and compare the providers available to your business.

  2. You open a merchant account

You apply for a merchant account with the provider in your business’s name and complete the documents it asks for. We tell you what we need from the account for the integration.

  3. We connect and configure

We connect the store to your account using the integration details the provider gives you, and set up the payment methods, order statuses and messages.

  4. We test payments

We run successful and declined payments in the provider’s test mode where it offers one, then a real order once the account is live.

  5. We go live and hand over

We switch payments on for your customers, give you a guide to following payments and orders, and explain what you follow up directly with the provider.

Costs

Two separate costs: our work and the provider’s fees

It helps to know the difference from the start, so the provider’s fees are not confused with the cost of the integration.

Our cost

You pay it to Future Web for the technical side of the integration, and we set it in the quote according to the scope.

  • Connecting and configuring the payment gateway
  • Testing payments before launch
  • Adding manual payment or cash on delivery if agreed

The provider’s fees

You pay them directly to the provider under your contract with it; they do not pass through us and we do not set them.

  • Fees or commissions on transactions, depending on the provider
  • Any account set-up or add-on service fees, if they apply
  • They vary with the provider’s offer and your agreement with it

Manual payment

How does paying by transfer with confirmation work?

A practical option if you have not opened a payment gateway account yet, or if your customers prefer to transfer. We set up clear steps for it inside the store.

  1. The customer chooses to pay by transfer at checkout.
  2. Your bank account, InstaPay address or wallet number appears.
  3. The customer transfers the order amount from their app.
  4. They send a photo of the receipt or the transaction number through the store or WhatsApp.
  5. You check the transfer and confirm the order so it can be prepared.

This option does not verify payment automatically; the order is confirmed after you check that the amount has reached your account.

Questions

Common questions

Do I need to open the payment gateway account myself?

Yes. The merchant account is in your business’s name and under your control, and you contract with the provider directly. We tell you what we need for the integration and handle the technical side once the account is active.

Are all payment methods available to every store?

Not always. Availability depends on the provider and its current offer, your type of business and your merchant account, so we check which methods are available before committing to the integration.

Does the integration cost include the gateway’s fees?

No. Our cost covers the technical side only; you pay the provider’s fees and commissions directly to it under your agreement.

When does the money reach my account?

The provider decides that under its terms and your account type, and we have no control over it. You will find the details in your contract with the provider or in its merchant dashboard.

Can I start with transfers and cash on delivery only?

Yes. Your store can start with manual payment and cash on delivery, and we add an online payment gateway once your account with the provider is ready.

Can more than one payment gateway be connected to the same store?

In many cases, yes, for example one gateway for cards and wallets and another for paying at outlets. We set this in the scope according to the platform and your customers’ needs.
